Check the fees on your sales
See what Xposure and Stripe take from a download sale, a session payment and a print order on each plan.
Every payment lands in your own Stripe account, and the fees are taken out before it does. Your client always pays the price you set.
Xposure's fee
| Starter | Pro | Studio | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Download sales | 10% | 0% | 0% |
| Session deposits and balances | 10% | 0% | 0% |
| Prints and albums | 10% of your markup | 0% | 0% |
On downloads and sessions the 10% is of what your client paid, after any discount code. On prints it is of your markup: the print price after discount, less the lab cost, and the shipping the lab charges beyond what your client paid. Selling needs Starter or above, so the Free plan has no fee.
Your current fee shows under Stripe Connect on Settings, Integrations.
Stripe's fee
Stripe charges a processing fee on each card payment.
- On download and print sales, it is taken from your share. The rate shows under Stripe Connect, next to Xposure's fee.
- On session deposits and balances, it is not taken from your share.
- Stripe's fee for working out VAT is paid by Xposure on every sale.
Print orders
A print order also pays the lab. The lab cost, the shipping and your branding inserts come out of the payment before it reaches you. What is left after those, the fees and any VAT is your profit. The price sheet editor shows Profit on one print for each product, and each order shows a Money breakdown. See Turn on print sales.
See what you kept
Exposure shows Your earnings from downloads and prints, after Xposure's fee and Stripe's processing fee. Session payments show on each booking and in Stripe. Your Stripe dashboard shows every payment and fee in detail. See Get paid out and refund a client.
Note: Fees follow your plan at the moment of the sale. Upgrading to Pro lowers the fee on the next sale, not on earlier ones.
