Upload from Lightroom Classic
Install the Xposure plugin in Lightroom Classic and export your edits straight into a gallery.
The plugin adds Xposure as an export destination in Lightroom Classic 10.0 or later. Your photos land in the gallery you pick, as if you had uploaded them in the browser.
The plugin is available on Pro and Studio, and during the trial. Only the account owner can create its key. On a plan without the plugin, the key stops working until you are back on Pro or Studio.
Get your key and the plugin
- Open Settings, Integrations and find Lightroom Classic plugin.
- Select Generate key, then Copy next to the API key field.
- Select Download plugin and unzip the file. It holds the
xposure.lrpluginfolder.
Install it in Lightroom Classic
- In Lightroom Classic, open File, then Plug-in Manager.
- Select Add and choose the
xposure.lrpluginfolder. - Close the Plug-in Manager.
Export a shoot
- Select the photos and open File, then Export.
- Choose Xposure as the destination. The first time, under Xposure Account, paste your key in API key and select Connect.
- Under Album, pick the gallery you created in Xposure, and export.
Lightroom exports JPEGs and uploads them in the background. They count toward your storage like any upload. A photo already in that gallery with the same picture is skipped, so exporting the same selection twice is safe.
Note: A photo you have edited since the last export is a different picture, so it is added as a new photo next to the old one. Delete the old one in Xposure.
Important: Create the client gallery in Xposure first. An album made with Create album… in Lightroom is a public portfolio album, not a client gallery, so it has no PIN and no Send to client.
When the key expires
A key works for 90 days. The card shows Expires with the date, and a warning in the last 14 days. After that the plugin says the key has expired.
- Select Regenerate key and copy the new key.
- Paste it in the plugin's export settings.
Regenerating stops the old key at once, on every computer that uses it.
