Install the plugin
Download the plugin zip and extract it. In Lightroom Classic, open File → Plug-in Manager, click Add, and choose the unzipped .lrplugin folder.

Paste your API key
Generate a key in your Xposure Settings → Integrations dashboard. Paste it into the export sheet once and Lightroom confirms your connected account.

Pick an album and export
Select an existing client album or type a new name. Lightroom renders your JPEGs and uploads them straight to your gallery in the background.

Installed and runningOpen File → Plug-in Manager in Lightroom Classic. Once added, the status indicator turns green and Xposure appears in every export window.
Generate your API key
In your Xposure dashboard, head to Settings → Integrations and generate an API key. This token links Lightroom directly to your studio.
Add plugin to Lightroom Classic
Unzip the download to get xposure.lrplugin. In Lightroom, go to File → Plug-in Manager, click Add at bottom-left, select the folder, and verify the green status light.
Export your first selection
Select your photos and click File → Export. Choose Xposure as the destination, enter your API key, select or create an album, and hit Export.

Everything you need to know about connecting Lightroom Classic to Xposure.
Which file format should I export?
Export as JPEG. The plugin is configured to do this for you, because JPEG keeps galleries fast to load and responsive on mobile. Uploading through the dashboard also takes RAW files, which are stored as you sent them; TIFF and PSD are not accepted anywhere.
What if I export the same photos twice?
Duplicates are skipped automatically. Xposure recognizes a photo you have already sent to that album using cryptographic hashing and will not create a second copy, so re-exporting an entire selection is completely safe. If you change your crop, color edit, or export settings, Xposure detects the change and updates the image in place.
It says my API key is invalid or expired.
API keys expire 90 days after creation for security, and generating a key revokes the old one. Generate a fresh key in Settings → Integrations and paste it back into the plugin.
Where do my photos end up?
In whichever album you selected in the export dialog. After the export finishes you can open that album in your Xposure dashboard to review, reorder, proof, or share it.
Which versions of Lightroom are supported?
The plugin supports Adobe Lightroom Classic version 10.0 and newer on both macOS and Windows. Cloud-only Lightroom (formerly Lightroom CC) does not support third-party export plugins.
Can I create a new album directly from Lightroom?
Yes. In the Lightroom export dialog, you can pick an existing album from your dropdown list or type a brand-new album name right into the field to create it instantly.
Do client favorites and proofing notes stay safe when re-exporting?
Yes. Because duplicates are skipped or updated cleanly by file identity, any stars, client favorites, or proofing feedback already attached to that frame remain completely intact.
