Architectural photographer · Osaka

Concrete, glass, and the hour the sun finds them.

Commissions for architects, developers and editors. Straight verticals, true colour, files in five working days.

Method

One building a day, at the hour it was drawn for.

Tripod, shift lens, straight verticals. I read the sections before the site visit, plot every elevation against the sun path, and wait for the light the architect had in mind.

Studio

Kenji Watanabe

Trained as an architect, photographing buildings since 2012. Commissions for practices, developers and editors, with files in a private gallery within five working days.

He asked for our sections before he asked for the address. The museum photographs went to the award jury unedited.
